Chapter 20: PLEASE ALLOW ME FOR THE LAST TIME…
“I’ll go outside first. I need some fresh air.” Leeteuk said.
“Arasso. We’ll just call you oppa if lunch is ready.” Soora smiled. Leeteuk left them and went to the beach. A nice weather by the beach is a good time for him to relax and mostly to think things through. He then sat in the sand looking at the vast of the sea. He sighed.
“Hyung!” Someone called out. He saw Kangin walking towards him.
“Oh, Youngwoon-sshi.” He smiled.
“What you doing here hyung?” Kangin sat down beside him.
“Just thinking about things.” He replied not meeting Kangin’s gaze. He didn’t see the worriedness in Kangin’s eyes.
“Hyung, you know I’ll always be there if you need help.” Kangin sighed. Leeteuk was puzzled and look at him.
“Huh?”
“If you need help or someone to talk about your problems, you could always talk it to me.” Kangin smiled and stand up.
“What are you talking about Youngwoon?” Leeteuk was still puzzled.
“Remember that always.” Kangin said. Even before Leeteuk could speak, Kangin already was far from him. He then sighed. He knows Kangin as well as he knows him. He knows Kangin is suspicious about things. But then he didn’t know that there’s more.
<Kangin’s POV>
We arrive at Yeonmin and Soora’s rest house in Busan. Man, it was big. Yeonmin and Soora are sure rich.
“Wow, you people are sure rich.” Heechul hyung mocked.
“Anio oppa.”
“Don’t think about having your own room with Soora. Soora and Yeonmin will share a room and the boys will share like the one we did in Japan.” Jungsoo hyung suddenly said. I guess Hyukjae said something and he overheard it. I thought Hyukjae is innocent. Tsk Tsk. He is sure grown up now.
“Oh, admit it Jungsoo. You’re just jealous.” Heechul hyung mocked again. He’s bullying Jungsoo hyung again as always.
“Hmm, how about like the thing we did in Japan, Night Camp is fun?” Ryeowook suggested. This guy sure loves to sleep outside eh. But something is suspicious. Jungsoo hyung, Yeonmin and Soora look at each other with worries after Wookie said it. What’s wrong with sleeping outside?
“I don’t think we have tents this time.” Yeonmin said. I could feel she’s hiding something.
“Hmm, Staying in the house is just fine. I want a bed and not a sleeping bag.” Jungwoon hyung whined.
“Yah, let’s stay in the house now when we sleep in vacation. Sleeping in a sleep bag makes my skin rough.” Heechul hyung said. Ryeowook just pouted. Thank goodness, sometimes sleeping out in sleeping bag is really not good. We have to take care of our skins. After all, we’re idols. Hehe. But then, still something is going on between those three.
“Oh my, we have guest here.” A woman said. We look at the direction where the voice came from.
“Oh, Annyeong Auntie Mimi.” Yeonmin greeted as she hugged her. Soora went to her and hug her too.
“It’s been a long time since both of you came here, Miss Yeonmin, especially you Miss Soora.” the Auntie said.
“I hope you’re heal-“ but Soora cut her off so quickly.
“You don’t need to worry about me Auntie Mimi, I’m perfectly fine.” I know all was a bit puzzled about it. Something is really with this three. For a week already, even before Super Show started, Jungsoo hyung always disappear. Yeonmin and Soora will then disappear too.
Haiz! What is happening?
“Oh, these people are friends.” Yeonmin introduced us.
“Annyeong haseyo, we are Super Junior. Please take good care of us for 2 days” We all greeted.
“Annyeong, I’m the one maintaining this rest house. Please feel free to ask me if you need something.”
“Thank you very much.” We all said. We were lead to the rooms we’ll sleep at our stay, and then as all went to their own business, Jungsoo hyung suddenly disappear. Where did he run off again? I went down since I can’t find him in the rooms, I passed by the kitchen. I heard Jungsoo hyung talking.
“ Nah! Don’t worry about it. By the way, Uncle told me that you need to be confined once we get back. They say you’ll undergo some therapy so that it can lower your Ischemic Disease and can get your heart stronger.” Jungsoo hyung said. Soora is going on a therapy? Is she sick? Ischemic Disease? Heart? Is something wrong with her heart?
“Gomawo oppa.” Soora said.
“He knows?” Auntie Mimi said
“Ne, he’s the only one who knew beside us.” Yeonmin said. I guess something really is going on with these 3 and we didn’t know. But one thing is for sure, Jungsoo hyung loves Soora. I could feel it.
“I’ll go outside first. I need some fresh air.” Jungsoo hyung said and went out.
Sigh! I want to know what’s happening. But then still I respect hyung’s decision. I’ll respect whether he choose to tell me or not. I followed him, through beach. I saw him sitting there. I took a deep breath.
“Hyung!” I called out. He looks at me.
“Oh, Youngwoon-sshi.” He smiled.
“What you doing here hyung?” I sat down beside him.
“Just thinking about things.” He replied not meeting my gaze. At that time, I’m sure he’s hiding something. I’m so worried, usually he tells me if something is wrong especially if it involves Super Junior or the members but this time he said.
“Hyung, you know I’ll always be there if you need help.” I sighed. He look at me, I know he was puzzled. Maybe he didn’t really want to tell me.
“Huh?”
“If you need help or someone to talk too about your problems, you could always talk it to me.” I smiled and stand up.
“What are you talking about Youngwoon?” He asked me.
“Remember that always.” I just said and left. I know he knows me as well I know him. He knew I’m suspicious about something but still I respect him. I’ll wait till he open up and even though he didn’t open up. Still. Sigh!
AT NIGHT,
Super Junior was out of the beach first, around the bonfire, grilling marshmallows and was moon and star gazing.
“You know, it’s seldom to see this many stars in Seoul.” Kyuhyun said.
“Wow, Kyuhyun isn’t only interest now in computer games but in stars too.” Heechul said looking at him with evil grin.
“I’ll get you this time.” Heechul thought.
“At least I’m not like you hyung, interested in getting attention.” Kyuhyun smirk. And then, it started the fires of the mouth of the two. All of them just look at them with thoughts.
“When are they stoping?”
“I didn’t know Kyuhyun has guts in facing Heechul hyung?”
“Kyuhyun is witty too. I wonder who’ll win now?”
“Man, here goes the war.”
“I wonder how’s my turtle?”
Soora just rolled her eyes. This is unbelievable. Since when did Kyuhyun become so daring facing the ever unbeatable Heechul? But then suddenly, her chest hurts. It’s getting cold outside. But she didn’t want to ruin the party. She just leaned to Eunhyuk, rested her head in his chest.
“Are you okay?” Eunhyuk asked. She just smiled and nodded. She then get his arms and wrapped it to her. She could feel warmth in his touch but still her chest pain didn’t disappear.
On the other side, Donghae’s head was rested in Yeonmin’s lap. The two are talking about things and the stars, mostly talking about their parents that are now in the stars. Soora look at them, she was happy that finally Yeonmin found someone. Someone she could lean on when she needed to cry. Someone she could share her happiness. Someone who could make memories with her. Someone who’ll stay by her side no matter what now that she knows she’ll leave soon. Sometimes she’s losing hope. Her results isn’t improving at all. She’s been stress out about this. Sometimes she could feel that Eunhyuk is getting suspicious.
“Maybe I should tell him.”
She would tell herself, but she promised herself, she need to fight for Hyukkie and will not tell him so he wouldn’t get worried. At the same time, she’s afraid he’ll lose him, because she’s dying. She feel she’s getting weaker.
“God, are you taking me away now? Don’t I have the chance to be happy with him? Will I leave them? Will I be parted from him? Why did you give me 3 years extension if I’ll be leaving this world? Why did you let me meet him again? Why lord? Why?
Leeteuk on the other side was just looking at Soora and Eunhyuk. Sometimes he feels jealous, but though even though it was like that. He could always feel that he couldn’t love her as Eunhyuk love her. But sometimes, he feels so depressed. He wants to tell her, even though he knows he doesn’t have the chance, he has to let it out. He has too or it will forever haunt him. It was getting cold, Soora needed to go inside or else her chest pain might attack.
“Hyukjae, better bring Soora back to the house. I think she’s a bit sleepy.” Leeteuk suddenly spoke. Heechul stop at the moment and look at Leeteuk with teasing eyes. Here goes the teasing again.
“Uhm, you want to go to the house now?” Eunhyuk asked Soora. Soora nodded. She has to take care of herself for her to fight. Eunhyuk and Soora stand up.
“Good night. I’ll sleep first now.” Soora said.
“Okay, now don’t do anything so special okay.” Heechul smirk. Hankyung elbowed him.
“Goodnight.” Hankyung said.
“Have a goodnight sleep Soora. Hyung, take care of her.” Ryeowook said. Sweet little Ryeowook is so caring.
“Goodnight.” They all greeted.
The two went to the house, holding hands. But then, as she walked closer to the house, her chest pain got worse. Her vision gets blurry and her walking isn’t stable. Eunhyuk, feeling her unstable walking, stopped then scoop her, carrying her in bridal style.
“Are you okay? You seem very tired?” Eunhyuk said worriedly. Soora just nodded weakly. She placed her arms around Eunhyuk’s neck and laid her head on his shoulder. From afar where the other members are , Yeonmin was able to see it and became worried. Donghae notice it while he was looking at the stars.
“What’s wrong? Are you okay? Am I hurting you?” He quickly sat up and faced her.
“Aniyo, oppa.” Yeonmin bit her lower lip.
“What’s happening to Soora, it’s like her condition is getting worse. Why is it happening?” Yeonmin thought. She then placed her head on Donghae’s shoulder. Donghae place his arm around her. Unknown to Donghae, a tear escape Yeonmin’s eyes.
“Please be alright.” Yeonmin thought.
Back at the house,
As Eunhyuk carried her to their room (Yeonmin and Soora’s), Soora tried to sleep hoping that the pain will fade away. They arrived at the girls room, Soora was already sleeping. He laid her to the bed and then gets a chair and put it beside the bed. He sat at it and looks at Soora. He brushed away the hair that was blocking her eyes.
“So beautiful, but then why is she so pale these days?”
He looks at her eyes, he can sense the hurt and pain in her.
“Why is she in pain? Am I giving her pain?”
Eunhyuk don’t know what’s happening. Right after that happening, he could see more happiness at her but at the same time, he sense pain and hurt. Her face is so pale. She kept on disappearing and then will show up. She’s always with Yeonmin, going to some errands that he didn’t know. And sometimes, they will be back with Leeteuk. He’s jealous and he admits that. He feels so depressed. He could feel she’s hiding something that he’s the only one who doesn’t know. He wants to know it but then he couldn’t find the courage to ask her.
“Why do I have the courage to kiss her but then don’t have to ask her?” He sighed.
He kissed her forehead, hoping that the pain will go away. For the time, that is the only thing he can do. He feels so guilty for not being able to help her about whatever is bothering her but all he can give is his love. A smiled was formed in her face right after the kiss. He laid his head on the side of the bed, holding her hand. Tomorrow, he has to ask her.
Soora woke up at the middle of the night, good thing that the chest pain was gone. She sat up seeing Eunhyuk sleeping, holding her hand. She smiled at the sight of her sleeping lover who is a bit or very much drooling. She wanted to drink some strawberry milk. She slowly and carefully removes his hand and move it aside, not wanting to wake him up. She put the blanket around him and left. That time, everyone was already in their rooms. Yeonmin sleep at her room since there is still a vacant room. She walked down in the stairs and went to kitchen seeing Leeteuk sitting while drinking cofee.
“Oh, Leeteuk oppa, You’re not yet sleepy?” Soora spoke. Leeteuk just shook his head.
“Thanks by the way, you save me there.” Soora smiled as she went to the cupboard.
“It was nothing.” Leeteuk said
She’s busy reaching for a cup from the top cupboard and didn’t know that Leeteuk was moving towards her. And then, Leeteuk help her reach it by standing at her back and get it for her.
“Here.” He said as he handed him the cup. Still Soora’s back is facing her.
“Thanks.” Soora said. She could feel Leeteuk’s breath in her hair. She thought Leeteuk went back to his seat already so she faced the other side meeting Leeteuk’s gaze.
“Oppa?” She said.
“Please, allow me for the first and the last time. Allow me to say those words.” Leeteuk said looking at her. At that time, Soora understand what he meant though she still avoided his gaze. At that silent moment, she could hear Leeteuk’s beating heart. Now she understood. Leeteuk does love her. She took a deep breath. She don’t want to hurt him anymore, she’ll allow him for the last time, more practically for the first and the last time. She faced him with courage.
“Saranghae, Soora.” Leeteuk said, looking at her eyes. And then slowly he locked his lips to her. He knows it was wrong but he was thankful for Soora for this chance. This will be the last time. This will end everything, his feelings for Soora. After that kiss, Soora will be just a friend, a friend in need. He promised, he’ll help her, no matter what.
